Autel MK808S VS Launch CR919X - How to Make a Choice for Car Diagnostics?

        The Autel MK808S and Launch CR919X are both popular and professional automotive diagnostic scanners in area of  offering various features for DIY enthusiasts and professionals alike. However, they’re still slightly different from each other, and I’ll talk about it in the following contents.

       Launch CR919X: Launch also provides regular updates, though it may not be as frequent as Autel’s. It typically includes a one-year free update as well, with similar subscription costs for updates.

 

 4.Vehicle Coverage/Price and Value

       Both devices offer extensive vehicle compatibility for OBD2-compliant vehicles, though Autel generally has broader vehicle make and model support (supports 150+ car brands worldwide), particularly for Asian, European, and American brands.

 -Autel MK808S: Generally priced higher than the Launch CR919X, though the price is often justified by its advanced hardware, broader compatibility, frequent updates, and faster processing.

 -Launch CR919X: Offers a lower price point, making it a thinkable choice for users who need standard diagnostics with less cost.

 

     

      5. Conclusion 

       Choose the Autel MK808S if you’re looking for:More advanced diagnostic capabilities;A faster, more responsive device with a larger display;Frequent software updates and extensive vehicle compatibility;

      If you need ECU-coding, you may choose Launch CR919X which includes this capability. And CR919X has a 1000mAh larger battery capacity than MK808S, yet I saw a professional car repairman on YouTube had to Connect the charging cable when he was using CR919X but didn’t have to do that on MK808S.

     If the price is not a major factor and you want the most comprehensive functionality, the Autel MK808S is likely the better option. For a cost-effective, straightforward diagnostic tool, the Launch CR919X is a great choice.
