Today, let's learn about the Autel KM100 using experience from a locksmith, Steve Young.
After extensive use, I’m convinced the Autel MaxiIM KM100 is a game-changer for automotive locksmiths.
In this guide, he will walk you through setting up and operating the KM100.
Wi-Fi & Registration:
Pairing the Two-Piece System:
In this example, I add a second fob using an IKEY “universal” proximity fob. Whether using an OEM, aftermarket, or refurbished fob, the programming steps remain the same once you’ve programmed the IKEY. (The menus are very similar to those in the Autel IM508 or IM608 systems.)
Caution: Nissan Rogue vehicles can “brick” their computer if a fob is programmed incorrectly, so follow the steps carefully.
Some users reviewed KM100/Autel IM508 / IM608 on Redict:
con**o: The KM100 tends to be a key tool, with some programming ability. The IM508 and IM608 are vehicle programming tools, with some vehicle diagnostic ability. The KM100 has a lifetime subscription, but the others need renewals. There are some things a KM100 cannot do, but it is easier and faster to do the things it does. The other units often need add ons, so the costs just keep adding as well. I have all three, even though we allegedly don’t do cars.
jon**3: It’s a good tool to have I use it quite a bit, yes after you generate a key you can use whichever tool you want to program it, doesn’t have to be autel. The prox key library is pretty comparable to xhorse maybe slightly better coverage. What I like about the autel is it’s organized, unlike the keytool max where they just toss everything together with a description that god only understands.
Verify Compatibility & Connectivity:
Set Up the Fob:
Generate the Key:

Connect the VCI:

Run an Immobilizer Status Scan:
Program the IKEY:
This streamlined guide ensures you’re set up for success with the Autel MaxiIM KM100. With proper preparation and careful execution, you can efficiently program keys and avoid common pitfalls—truly a revolutionary tool in the automotive locksmith’s arsenal.
