Autel IM508S is a powerful Key Fob Programming Tool, which comes with XP200 programmer. If you want Autel IM508S to support BMW vehicles, you also need G-Box 3 Adapter.
Here we show you how Autel MaxiIM IM508S & G-BOX 3 reads the ISN of BMW E Series Bosch TC1797 MEVD17.2.4.
Connect Autel IM508S, G-BOX 3 and BMW DME according to the wiring diagram:

Step:
Remove the DME from the vehicle.
Referring to the points in the diagram, connect the DB15 cable to the DME interface.
Connect DB15 cable to Autel G-BOX3. Then connect the G-BOX3's OBDII female connector (marked "P") to the IM508S diagnostic tool, and its DC port (marked "DC 12V") to the +12V DC power supply.
After this function is executed, restore the DME to its original state.
Press "OK" after the connection is completed.
Read BMW DME ISN
Press "Read ISN".
During function execution, you need to pay attention to the following matters:
This process requires an internet connection. Make sure the network connection is working properly and stay connected during this process.
Do not disconnect the 12V (3A) power supply and ensure the working voltage is stable.
Do not disconnect the device from the mains cable.
Otherwise, exceptions may occur during function execution.
