By eliminating the need to use an expensive OE diagnostic system to work with the EPB system, the tool saves time and money! FAQ

Q: Will the autel Maxicheck pro work on bleeding my abs brakes on a 2000 Toyota 4 runner?

A: Japanese cars like Toyota and Honda may have different automatic air vent functions even if they are of the same make, model, and model year. Check with your dealer to see if your vehicle has this feature before you buy. If you can ensure that your car is equipped with automatic vents, Maxicheck Pro can support your needs.

Customer reviews of Autel Maxicheck Pro

1. Effortless ABS bleeding

I bought this scanning tool because I needed a way to bleed the ABS system on a 2000 GMC truck. Older GM trucks have the annoying habit of rusting the brake lines. In any case, I was hoping that I could bleed my ABS system myself with this scanning tool. After ordering and receiving the device, I took it out of the box and tried it immediately. I couldn't recognize my car or communicate with the truck's computer. I sent an email to Autel and received a quick response. I was instructed to update the software and try again. After updating the software (in 2017), I was able to use the scan tool successfully. In fact, it's a lot easier than a manual, it's almost fully automated, and it took about two minutes to complete. I was impressed. However, I don't understand why the software on the SD card that came with the scan tool wasn't updated from the beginning. I think it will be updated at least until the date of manufacture (September 2019 in this case). The update process takes about an hour. Brake pedals are no longer spongy.

The tool can also adjust steering sensors, manage airbag services and codes, adjust electronic parking brakes, manage batteries, and more. He is also an OBDII reader.

2. GM/Chevy truck ABS activate for a brake bleed

Like a lot of previous reviewers, I purchased this unit for the sole purpose of activating the ABS module for air purge and brake system bleeding. The Autel Maxicheck Pro performed this task with ease. My 2006 Silverado 3500 has the firmest brake pedal I have ever had since I acquired this truck 5 years ago. I have had a constant problem of fluid line rot on this truck caused by road salt and other winter road treatment chemicals. I would recommend anyone replacing brake lines to use copper/nickel alloy lines or vinyl clad with stainless fittings all available on Amazon. There are other ways of activating the ABS. This tool is by far the safest and easiest way to do it. If you bleeding GM brakes with ABS you need this scan tool.

3. Well worth the money, great product.

I came across this product almost by accident while searching YouTube for some how-to videos to help with a brake repair. When we compared the cost of the scanner to the cost of having our car towed to a garage to have the ABS system bled it was well worth what we paid as we saved money. My husband does all of our brake repairs and wished he had known about the Maxipro a long time ago. The shipping was fast and it actually arrived a day early. In no time at all we had the unit hooked up, the ABS system bled and after manually bleeding the rear brakes we were back in business. I truly think the makers of this product need to advertise this product more. My husband has already told at least three people they need to buy this device. Thank you Autel for a great product.

4. Does not perform ABS auto-bleed with 2014 F-350 Diesel

The Maxicheck Pro does not perform the ABS auto-bleed with the 2014 F-350 w/6.7L Powerstroke Diesel.

5. Won't bleed gm 01 abs module

I bought this to bleed abs on a 01 Silverado 4.3l single cab it wont do it tec said gm has that function locked so no autel scanners will do that ... waist of time and money as it says online it will do it ....
